The Group T&O Management team, apart from holding the Group roles, they are also the functional heads for Singapore. In addition, the Business Technology heads will also be the supply managers in providing direct technology services requirements to the non-business related corporate groups such as Finance, HR, Compliance, Risk Management, etc.

Job Objectives

  • Responsibility for development of the end- to-end testing strategy and test process for API Services
  • Develop detailed test plans for applications based on technical and business specifications in accordance with bank standards.
  • Work with System Analysts to understand business requirements and functional specifications.
  • Work with Business/Program Lead to gain agreement on test plans and strategy.
  • Lead effort to test and analyse each component/phase of the systems development life cycle including the project requirements, design and programs.
  • Provide resources to deliver against the agreed test plan within budget and timeframes.
  • Ensure adherence to testing best practices and bank testing standards.
  • Collaborate with other project leads to minimize testing inter-dependency issues and agree to migration to live environment.
  • Drive consistency and standardisation in the test planning, test cases definition and execution and test management and reporting
  • Design various tests including functional (developer integration test, systems integration test), performance, operational acceptance and infrastructure validation
  • Design and execute effective test strategies, define and track test metrics to drive quality improvements
  • End to end view of testing across applications
  • Resource planning, estimation and maintain the testing of a portfolio of projects
  • Ensure consistent process. Engage with central process roles and peers to ensure alignment with department standards
  • An excellent understanding of the SDLC, participate in the planning and prioritisation of future projects
  • Ability to present to and influence a wide variety of audiences, to SVP level

Key Responsibilities

  • Design/develop and execute manual and automated test cases to verify the functional and non-functional requirements of the system
  • Define/Build configurable/parameterised test frameworks
  • Ensure traceability of requirements across all test types
  • Define test approach, strategy and/or plan across all test engagement
  • Use and manage vendor augmented resources and ensure work assignments for high utilization and effective, quality outcomes while avoiding re-work
  • Communicate with technical and non-technical resources and work with limited direction while being highly productive
  • Develop strong and effective working relationships with Project management, System Analysts, IT Development Leads and other test teams
  • Analyse performance test results, vulnerability assessments and any other test related issues that arise during projects
  • Assist the project team in issue resolution to meet the requirements and timelines
  • Analyse test results and measuring of KPI’s against defined quality criteria.
  • Ensure all Test Deliverables are completed including Test Approach, Scenarios, Conditions & Expected Results, Test Cycle Control Sheet, and Test Scripts.
 
  Key Requirements Must have
  • General banking domain knowledge (payment, core banking, credit, FX)
  • Experienced with test planning, test preparation (test cases, test data), test execution (manual functional test, performance test and test automation) and test reporting
  • Prior IT experience providing testing services to large scale, highly available applications or other large program implementation
  • Experience of banking projects implementation particularly in open systems
  • 5 or more years of experience in test management, planning and execution
  • 5 or more years’ experience in Testing and Quality improvement initiatives
  • 5 or more years’ experience managing third party vendors
  • Record of success leading testing for a significant scale project
  • Solid foundation in retail banking to be able to understand service interdependencies and drive towards technical solutions for multi-tiered systems
  • Detail oriented, yet able to look at a wide array of choices & identify what truly matters
  • Ability to work independently and excellent problem solving skills is a must
  • Proven results-oriented person with a focus on delivery
  • Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple business units
 
Good to have
  • Certification for testing methodologies
  • Knowledge or have worked on project delivery using AGILE will be a major plus.

Note:

Banking and financial services experience is necessary.
