The PCG – Policy & Control team is responsible to oversee the process governance and controls of the functions responsible by the PCG team both in Singapore as well as Overseas.  The team is also responsible for the Book Control function for the Front Office systems and the running the Pre-Trade Approval Group (PTAG) working group.
 
This role is responsible to perform the day-to-day portfolio management responsibilities, secretariat responsibilities of the PTAG working group to facilitate product approval related for Global Market Structuring desk. 
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Ensure end-to-end proper control of FO system book creations, closure and regular maintenance of book statics;
  • Perform periodic attestation of portfolios of live portfolios maintained in each FO system;
  • Documentation of operational procedures for responsibilities of the team;
  • Assist in the secretariat responsibilities of the PTAG working group, including organizing the meeting, preparing the agenda, collation of presentation, minutes taking, issues and actions tracking;
  • Work closely with ORM to perform annual review and set the Key Operational Risk Indicator (KORI) for the team;
  • Review and submit the monthly KORI reporting to ORM system;
  • Work closely with ORM to perform annual review of the Key Risk Control Self-Assessment (KRCSA) for the team;
  • Perform annual sample testing of KRCSA controls and reporting to ORM system;
  • Assist team-lead in reviewing documents submission to auditors and regulators;
  • Ad-hoc participation in project for automation, process enhancement responsible for the governance aspect of the project;
Requirements: 
  • A degree or professional qualification in accounting, business, or related fields;
  • More than 3 years of experience in banking industry, with exposure in quality assurance and risk control-related function prefers;
  • Knowledge in all classes of financial products, as well as the front-to-back process of handling each product types.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision and able to multi-task in a fast-pace environment
  • Knowledge in Murex and WallStreet ideal but not essential
  • Must be able to work to tight deadlines and prioritize conflicting demands.
  • Good team player who possess drive, initiative, have an eye for details and able to work independently under pressure to produce accurate and timely work
  • Good analytical, communication and writing skills.
