You will lead a team of professionals to develop and implement organisation-wide initiatives in Singapore and the region.  These include diagnosis, developing and executing interventions in areas around leadership and management development based on the Bank’s competency framework plus continuing education programmes to build critical skills as may be required as the Bank’s business strategy evolves.  You will partner with HR Business Partners to diagnose business performance issues and learning needs, identify appropriate training-based solutions, and develop the solutions to facilitate achievement of the business unit’s goals.
Specifically, you will:
  • Design, develop and facilitate training programmes in Singapore and the region
  • Support HR Business Partners to identify learning and development needs, and develop solutions to bridge the business units’ gaps
  • Provide leadership and expertise to build and improve learning architecture with the aim of establishing a portfolio of distinctive UOB Leadership Development programmes
  • Audit learning delivery processes, and to help establish learning delivery systems for UOB
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of the impact of learning on overall corporate performance
  • Performance Consulting skills including client-facing skills aimed at determining business need, perceived roadblocks, business unit’s culture and work environment issues.
  • Ability to develop a holistic view of performance problems, identify root causes, and suggest appropriate solutions
  • Communication, Interpersonal, Influencing skills and Collaboration skills
  • Deep knowledge of Instructional System Design and Content Development
  • Knowledge of Measuring and Evaluating training programmes up to Level 4 (Kirkpatricks’ Model)
  • Knowledge of training and organizational development theories
  • Knowledge and experience in implementing technology-facilitated and e-learning standards (e.g. SCORM, mobile OS, Blackboard, etc.)
  • Project and Programme Management skills and ability to facilitate and manage multiple priorities and/or projects including risk mitigation skills to help eliminate potential roadblocks in the design and delivery of training programs
  • Ability to integrate and act upon the diverse perspectives of business unit managers, instructional designers, corporate HR and external vendors
  • Leader of a team or an instrumental member of an instructional design team producing leadership and functional learning products for the organisation
  • Was part of  a team or was directly involved in fostering a learning culture throughout the organisation
  • Was part of a team or was directly involved in setting up the learning architecture for a corporate university
  • Led a process re-engineering effort to strategically align the learning delivery function
  • Has set-up or is familiar with learning management systems
  • Has led large scale L&D interventions
  • Holds a recognised University degree with at least 12 years of working experience in the space of learning & development
  • Bachelor’s degree in instructional design/technology, organizational development, educational psychology, or a closely related field is preferred
  • Speaks and writes fluent English
