Job Objectives:

The GTO Project Manager is responsible for leading teams to deliver projects spanning multiple business units. Delivering projects within stage gate controls and UOB project SDLC guidelines while managing issues, risks, dependencies and project change will be core competencies to the role. The GTO Project Manager has the authority to run the project on a day-to-day basis. Verify that the project produces the required deliverables of quality, within the specified boundaries of time and cost and to achieve the potential benefits defined in the business case.

Job Responsiblities:

Stakeholder and Communications Management
  • Manage all aspects of project and support program manager in overall engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues
  • Continually manage stakeholder expectations through governance processes
  • Deliver appropriate and effective executive level communication
  • Provide status reporting regarding milestones, deliverable, dependencies, communicating across leadership and business stakeholders
Process and Delivery Execution
  • Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or multiple lines of business
  • Own the full project life cycle end to end
  • Ensure the project/ program is aligned to and supports strategic objectives
  • Prepare detailed project plan for all phases of the project
  • Manage the day-to-day project activities, including project management working and steering committees
  • Understand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs
  • Monitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverables
  • Ensure that projects and programs are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget and quality standards

Job Requirements
  • Banking experience in Wholesale Banking, Trade products & operations
  • Degree in an appropriate field of study or equivalent
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a plus
  • Relevant experience in Software Delivery Project and Trade Finance
  • Experience in running transformation project that involves changes across technology and operations
  • Exposure to financial reporting systems and concepts
  • A confident and self-aware leader with a high degree of independence
  • Demonstrated 10-15 years of experience in project management
  • Full end to end project management in a lead role
  • Direct responsibility of project budgets of $5 - $20 million dollars
  • Executive level communication skills with excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure
  • Strong MS Office skills – Excel, Power Point and MS Project
  • Detail oriented, meticulous yet able to see the big picture.
  • Fast learner with inquisitive mind and structure process in task execution
  • Good attitude, highly-motivated self-starter and strong team player and able to work with a high degree of autonomy.
