You will be part of the Business Compliance (Retail) Anti-Money Laundering (AML) / Countering of Financing of Terrorism (CFT) team working closely with Group Compliance and Group Retail business segments. Your primary responsibility will be to perform testing on AML controls, prepare Management reports and to review the AML/CFT Review & Testing Framework vis-à-vis regulatory and process changes. Additional responsibilities will entail keeping abreast of regulatory developments in the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing activities, assessing its impact and providing advice, recommendations and governance on related policies & practices.
  • Perform review and testing on AML Controls in accordance to the Business Compliance (Retail) Review &Testing framework, identify systemic issues and recommend / implement corrective & preventive actions
  • Provide updates and monthly reports to Management and Group Compliance
  • Review periodically the Review &Testing Framework on AML/CFT activities for Group Retail
  • Work with relevant Business stake-holders & Group Compliance in the establishment of anti-money laundering procedures, processes and controls within Group Retail to ensure alignment with Group AML Policy
  • Raise awareness on money laundering and terrorism financing among staff for Group Retail
  • Act as contact person/consultant for Group Retail on AML/CFT regulatory requirements, procedures & processes.
  • Degree in Accountancy or Business Management
  • Familiar with MAS 626 Regulations, AML risk assessment and controls
  • Relevant 1-3 years of banking experience in conducting due diligence checks for Individuals and/or corporate customers
  • Prior experience in operational risk management within business units or internal / external audit is preferred
  • Resourceful, Meticulous, Analytical and able to work independently with excellent verbal and report-writing skills
  • Self-driven and a team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite of applications
