You will be part of the Business Compliance (Retail) Anti-Money Laundering (AML) / Countering of Financing of Terrorism (CFT) team working closely with Group Compliance and Group Retail business segments.
Your primary responsibility is to manage the Business Compliance (Retail) Review & Testing programme for Group Retail business segments (Personal Financial Services and Business Banking).  You will conduct process reviews and testing on AML controls for adherence to regulatory / bank-wide AML requirements and provide monthly reporting on testing results and AML related information to Management.  Additional responsibilities will entail keeping abreast of regulatory developments in the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing activities, assessing its impact and providing advice, recommendations and governance on related policies & practices.
  • Review periodically the Review &Testing Framework on AML/CFT activities for Group Retail
  • Perform reviews and testing on AML Controls in accordance to the framework, identify systemic issues and recommend / implement corrective & preventive actions
  • Manage updates and monthly reporting to Management and Group Compliance
  • Develop assessment tools to raise awareness on money laundering and terrorism financing among staff for Group Retail
  • Work with relevant Business stake-holders & Group Compliance in the establishment of anti-money laundering procedures, processes and controls within Group Retail to ensure alignment with Group AML Policy
  • Act as consultant for Group Retail on AML/CFT regulatory requirements, procedures & processes.
  • Participate in strategic AML projects and initiatives
  • Degree in Accountancy or Business Management
  • Working knowledge of MAS 626 Regulations, AML risk assessment and controls
  • Relevant 7-10 years of banking experience in compliance and/or conducting due diligence checks for Individuals and/or corporate customers
  • Prior experience in operational risk management within business units or internal / external audit is preferred
  • Leadership skills with experience in managing a team and stakeholders
  • Self-driven and a team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Resourceful, meticulous, analytical and able to work independently with excellent verbal and report-writing skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of applications
