Job Reponsibilities:
 
The successful candidate will be part of the Credit Policies & Portfolio Management team that is responsible for setting the credit risk framework and policies in accordance with the Group’s risk appetite and business strategy.  Responsibilities also include the active management of industry concentration risks and monitoring of the retail portfolio to ensure that the Group’s credit risks are safeguard in a fast-changing business environment.
 
We are looking for an experienced banker with strong credit knowledge.  Your main responsibilities include:
 
  • Working closely with business units and credit approvers to formulate credit policies that are responsive to a dynamic business environment and in line with the Group’s risk appetite and strategy.
  • Reviewing project initiatives and retail product/lending programs to ensure independent oversight of credit risks amid changing business environment and banking processes;
  • Actively monitoring the Group’s retail portfolio performance to ensure that significant concerns are promptly highlighted for remedial action;
  • Managing the Group’s credit portfolio closely to ensure that industry risks are diversified and potential vulnerabilities are promptly identified to mitigate risks;
  • Developing and submitting key credit risk papers/reports for deliberation by the Board and management committees;
  • Regularly reviewing strategies and capabilities to enhance risk management processes;
  • Leading/participating in projects for enhancing risk management capabilities or regulatory compliance.
 
Job Requirements:
 
  • Degree in Business, Finance or Banking related disciplines;
  • At least 10 years of working experience, with strong credit background;
  • Good analytical and communication (verbal and written) skills;
  • Pleasant personality and good EQ
